A kendők szabása a tunikához/Pattern of the kerchiefs as the tunique
Mintánk anyagját ismét a divat által pártolt kendők képezik, melyeket hasonszínű sima szövettel állítunk össze. Ez utóbbi kelméből készül a szoknya, az öbölráncokba szedett 37 cm magas, 12 cm széles fodor és a redőzetnek rézs ráncokba szedett része, mely utóbbi az egymást megborító háromszög részek közt, az elő- és oldalszéleket fogja körül. A kendők 12 cm széles szél szeleteit csík gyanánt tűzdeljük a fodorra. A redőzet szabásáttekintését a és b adja a néhány ránccal fölcsípett két háromszögrészt, melyeket ellenvarrva illesztünk föl és előközepén kettős kelméből készült, 7 cm széles csokor tartja. A hátsó redőzethez egész kendő szükséges; miután ezt a c rész szerint 24 cm szélességig ráncolunk, a felső háromszög félt harmadrészben behajtjuk és tüzetlen a szoknya hátsó szélén, a lebbeny alá varrjuk. A lebbenyderekat elől bodrozott díszíték részek ékítik. Az öltözethez szükséges 12 zefír kendő és 3 m sima kelme.
The material of our sample are the kerchiefs favoured by fashion again, combined with similar coloured, plain fabric. The skirt, the pleated 14,5" high and 5" wide flounce, and the drapery's bias pleats are made of the latter fabric, this last holds together the front and side pieces between the covering kerchief triangle parts. The 5" wide side slices of the kerchiefs stitched on the flounce as a stripe. On the pattern for the tabliers a and b gives the two triangle pieces picked up by some pleats, attached on counter-sewn and in the middle front a 3" wide duo-bow from the fabrics holds it. For the back tablier a whole kerchief is needed; after pattern c this pleated into 9,5" width, the upper triangle edge folded back at the trisect and unstitched sewn on the back of the skirt, under the peplum. The peplum bodice in front trimmed by shirred parts. For this dress 12 zephire kerchiefs needed and 3,28 yards of plain fabric.
